It doesn't work for everyone, I agree. But what the point of your arguing with the guy who just stabilized his game a little? Did you know the task priority also affects FPS? No?

Increasing the priority of a process can improve the packet queue management in the network. When a process has a high priority, it can better control the packet queue and ensure that packets are sent and received in the right order, which can lead to ping stabilization.

I got a Wi-Fi. And low-end laptop. SO. IT. WORKS.

You got Ethernet and good PC? Fine. Just go away from this topic and never come back. You are not welcome here.

Also note that I didn't use insults unlike you, you ill-mannered child.

Bro, just... I'm not going to prove anything to you. It worked for me, it worked for other people. It doesn't work for you, just walk away? Why is this toxic comment even written here?uh to prevent misinform from being spread? and NO ONE has commented here, claiming that this works except you I guess
so your just lying over and over and you don't wanna admit that this doesn't work or your testing is flawed (no sh!t it is)
I'm studying at IT college, and in case you didn't know, if you run SAMP on a microwave, you'll have a huge ping. If you run it on a better PC with the same internet, the ping will be better. So PC performance DO AFFECTS the ping. Learn the basics first, then argue with someone who knows the topic better than youNo, that is false
let me break it down for you
What does affect ping:-
Internet speed
distance between you and the server
Ethernet(a full duplex ethernet cable can receive and transmit data at the same time unlike wifi connection which runs on a half-duplex connection which ultimately cuts your ping in half)
What does NOT affect ping directly:
PC performance(The speed of your CPU or GPU has minimal impact on your ping you can have a high-end gaming PC, but if your internet connection is poor, your ping will still be high)
roast/rant: so you are in college, studying IT huh? oh boy :E
You should consider a career in anything else origami, perhaps? at least folding paper is a concept simple enough for your caveman brain to process Seriously, take up anything that's as far away from computers as humanly possible it's for the greater good of the digital world.

setting gta san priority to "high" in the task manager can potentially cause instability, especially if your system has limited resources (like CPU or RAM). When you increase a program's priority, Windows will allocate more resources to it at the expense of other Windows processes, which can cause the system to become unresponsive, following this method typically won't improve performance because if your game isn't CPU bottlenecked then setting the priority won't make a significant difference. It is simply impossible to reduce ping by changing the program's priority because it's not related to ping at all so your claiming that it works for you and did reduce ping is just a lie, it's just not possible this post is frankly trash and it is pissing me off with its "100% working way to stabilize ping" title looks like its meant to lure kids
those 13 people who liked this post probably didn't try it, were your friends, or just want some free xp

It worked for me. Maybe becuase I got low tier laptop. Anyways, 13 people liked this post, so the method works at least for someone.

gta sa priority to high won't reduce your ping because the game's priority affects how much CPU time the operating system gives the game, but ping is related to network communication rather than CPU performance. If you really want to reduce your ping get an Ethernet cable, like a normal person.

Well, you prioritize your PC resources and Internet speed for exact process. gta_sa.exe in this case. So it increases the performance and reduces latency.
