Today's update has brought the golf minigame!



Golf minigame is located on golf courses in Las Venturas and San Fierro. Each game is for 4 players and there are total 9 holes on each course. When there is already a game being played on a course and players are at least on 4th hole, it is possible to start game on the same course.

Rules of golf game
In golf, you gain score based on number of strokes, which took you to get the golf ball from tee (starting point) to the hole. The hole is marked by red flag icon on map and also by red flag object on the course. The area around hole is called "green". There are also sand "bunkers", from where it is more difficult to shoot the ball.

Each hole has its "par", which is recommended number of strokes, which should take you to get the ball from tee to the hole. If you succeed to get the ball to the hole on lower number of strokes (therefore "under par"), you gain score, if you get the ball to the hole on higher number of strokes ("above par", you lose score.

3 under par (Double eagle): +3
2 under par (Eagle): +2
1 under par (Birdie): +1
Par: +0
1 above par (Bogey): -1
2 above par (Double bogey): -2
3 above par (Triple bogey): -3

When all players complete the hole, you will be shown scoreboard, or you can display scoreboard by pressing Y anytime during the game. When the ball ends out of the course or in water, it will be respawned to the starting position (to the tee).

During golf shot, you can adjust height and power of the stroke. Height marks how high the ball will fly, power marks how far the ball will travel. Height will be set automatically when you start aiming, based on the distance from the hole, you can use up and down keys to adjust it manually. When you play uphill or from "bunker", it is generally better to increase stroke height. When playing downhill, it is recommended to set less power, as the ball can roll downhill itself.

Golf club
Once you win 10 golf games, you will become member of golf club. As golf club members, you can have your golf cart delivered for $850, it will contain your name on it. In interaction menu, you can change colors of your golf cart and text color, golf cart with these colors will be also spawned for you everytime you join a golf game.

Golf weekly challenge
Each week there will be a contest, where players with the highest achieved golf score will be placed. Each golf course has its own challenge, so you can even win challenge on both courses. Current order of players in each contest can be displayed in info pickup at each course.
